The slic website (yes this one) has just been given a new discussion forum. We hope that it will allow students to raise their voices about issues which concern them. Initially we’ve created some forums about the traditional ‘bones of contention’ such as ‘is landscape architect the right name?’ to try and stir up the opinions but we hope to add to these in the near future. We also have a forum for site reviews and will a place for job advertisements to be listed. Most importantly we want landscape architects - studying or practicing - to get involved and create their own forums. The hope is that this area of the site will encourage discussion between students at different universities and between students and practitioners.

Once again we have to thank Simon Wheatley for his work on creating another exciting area for the site.
