Why study at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham… Why not?

Cheltenham is set at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment in a wonderful central position within the UK. We are surrounded by beautiful rolling Cotswold countryside but have easy access not only to the centre of Cheltenham but also Gloucester, Bristol and Birmingham.

The degree in Landscape Architecture is a three year full time degree and for the first year is run alongside the degree in Garden Design. A wealth of local field trips adds excitement to the already interesting design based course and a one week field trip abroad in the second year broadens horizons as well as offering a superb opportunity to really get to know your fellow students.

The whole three years is taught around a series of design projects which progress in complexity until the final double design thesis which runs for the entire third year.

We have a broad range of students in the school from vastly differing backgrounds and a range of ages as Cheltenham attracts mature students both for its degree schemes and conversion course to allow access onto the postgraduate diploma in landscape architecture.

Last year the university was rated second in the country for getting students into jobs in their desired field and was also awarded second place in the awards for best built environment degree so you couldnt be in safer hands!
