Hadlow College is in Kent in the village of Hadlow mid way between Tonbridge and Maidstone. Hadlow College was primarily an agricultural and horticultural college of further education which is diversifying as fast as possible from the collapsing British agricultural and traditional horticultural fields into leisure and sustainability issues. As an associate college of the University of Greenwich it houses the BA Garden Design, and the BSc Landscape Management and welcomes weekly the landscape architecture students from the University of Greenwich.
Its most especial merit are the gardens which are an extremely good amenity horticulture and garden design teaching collection and which are used for planting design, horticulture, and construction teaching. They are managed by the teachng staff under Kemal Mehdi who heads the BA (Hons) Garden Design.
Good rural environment.

I am a mature first year BA Garden Design student who has past experience in secondary education. I can honestly say that I have found the teaching staff on my course friendly, very knowledgeable and keen to share their skills with us.
My fellow students, who include HND Garden Designers, are from a wide range of ages (19 to 45+) and countries (Japan, Norway, Finland, Poland, South Africa and Russia). All would agree that we are privileged to have the quality of staff on hand to guide us through a very intensive and challenging course.
The college itself is on the outskirts of the lovely village of Hadlow. Over the years it has grown into an open classroom that inspires and encourages many skills. Anyone interested in agriculture, landscape management, animal management, equine, fisheries, floristry or garden design should take a serious look at what is on offer at Hadlow and its land based training programmes.
